Art Shot

Usually I take pictures of hazzards that I see. Here, some men were working nearby and I thought I'd see if I could compose a shot that would kinda just be nice to look at.

Adaptive Creation?

I've witnessed a lot of unusual animal moments in the last few years, this one stands apart for a different reason. Usually it's something unnatural about an animal that alerts me to a surreal encounter, the red tailed squirrel or the talkative dog. This was a case of the opposite. These dogs were hypernatural in this environment. The colours and proportion of colour on their coats matched the colours and proportions of the surrounding patchy ground so perfectly that it was as though they had been picked from the same pantone swatch book. When I asked their human companion if I could photograph them I found myself refering to ''the tundra'' instead of the midtown Toronto park that it was.

Balmoral and Avenue Rd.

Sunny day on a corner that doesn't really look like this. The camera angle manages to obscure the hundred or so filthy cars every few minutes that are either lined up at the lights on this six lane thoroughfare or racing past at ridiculous speeds for a residential neighbourhood. Avenue road would make a great park carpeted in grass.
